    What You’ll Be Doing:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    As a Staff Deep Learning Engineer, you will be a pivotal technical contributor, responsible for advancing the core AI models that power our client’s biological simulations. Your responsibilities will likely include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Model Development & Optimization:<\/strong> Designing, developing, and optimizing advanced deep learning models<\/strong> tailored for complex biological simulations and programming.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • GPU Accelerated Computing:<\/strong> Leveraging GPU tools<\/strong> such as CUDA<\/strong> and cuDNN<\/strong> to build high-performance computing solutions for deep learning workloads.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Library & Framework Utilization:<\/strong> Working extensively with leading deep learning libraries like PyTorch<\/strong> and HuggingFace<\/strong> to implement and refine neural network architectures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Distributed Systems & Scalability:<\/strong> Contributing to the development and scaling of distributed deep learning systems, ensuring models can be trained and deployed efficiently across large datasets and computational resources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Backend & Database Integration:<\/strong> Engaging in robust back-end development<\/strong> using frameworks like Django, Flask, and Node.js<\/strong>, and integrating with databases such as PostgreSQL<\/strong> and MongoDB<\/strong> to manage and serve model data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Containerization & Orchestration:<\/strong> Utilizing containerization technologies<\/strong> (e.g., Docker<\/strong>) and orchestration platforms<\/strong> (e.g., Kubernetes, SLURM<\/strong>) to ensure reproducible and scalable deployment of models and related services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Cloud Platform Integration:<\/strong> Working with major cloud platforms<\/strong> such as AWS<\/strong> and GCP<\/strong> for deploying and managing deep learning infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Collaboration & Innovation:<\/strong> Collaborating closely with molecular biologists, data scientists, and other engineers to translate biological challenges into AI solutions and push the boundaries of scientific discovery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Qualifications:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong blend of technical expertise and practical experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Education:<\/strong> A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Experience in life sciences is a significant plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Programming Proficiency:<\/strong> Proficient in JavaScript, Python<\/strong>, and modern web frameworks relevant to deep learning and backend services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • GPU & Deep Learning Libraries:<\/strong> Demonstrated experience with GPU tools<\/strong> (CUDA, cuDNN<\/strong>) and a strong command of deep learning libraries (PyTorch, HuggingFace<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Orchestration & Cloud:<\/strong> Familiarity with SLURM, Kubernetes<\/strong>, and major cloud platforms<\/strong> (AWS, GCP<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n

        Preferred Qualifications:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Candidates with the following qualifications will be highly regarded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Advanced Degree:<\/strong> A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; continued experience in life sciences is a plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Large Language\/Foundation Models:<\/strong> Experience with large language models (LLMs)<\/strong> or other foundation models<\/strong> and complex deep learning workflows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Biological Data & Bioinformatics:<\/strong> Familiarity with biological data, experience with bioinformatics tools<\/strong>, and understanding of ML pipelines<\/strong> in a life sciences context.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Development Practices:<\/strong> Proficient in using Git<\/strong> for version control, experience with CI\/CD<\/strong> pipelines for automated deployment, and designing\/consuming RESTful APIs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
