A contact in our network has shared an opening for an IT Engineer at Yudai Humanity Co., Ltd. This full-time, permanent position, based onsite in the Kanto region of Japan (with offices across 25 branches and 11 sales offices nationwide), offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from ¥250,000 – ¥800,000 (with annual salary ranging from 3 million to 12 million yen, depending on skill). What You’ll Be Doing: Diverse IT Engineering Roles Across Japan

As an IT Engineer, you’ll engage in a wide array of responsibilities within network and server infrastructure projects for clients across Japan. The company is actively hiring for various positions, allowing you to align your skills with specific roles such as Web Developer, System Developer, Network Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer.

  • Web Developer / System Developer:
    • Development, Maintenance, and Upkeep of Applications: You will be involved in the development, maintenance, and upkeep of web and system applications. This includes coding, debugging, and enhancing functionalities using languages such as C, C++, C#, and Java. Your work will directly support client business needs by building and sustaining critical software solutions.
    • Application Design and Construction: You will contribute to the design and construction of various applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and meet client requirements. This involves understanding user needs and translating them into technical specifications and functional software.
  • Network Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer:
    • Infrastructure Design and Construction: You will be responsible for infrastructure design and construction. This includes planning and implementing server and network architectures. You’ll work on designing and building the foundational IT components that ensure seamless and secure operations for clients.
    • Server and Network Design/Construction: You’ll focus on the detailed design and construction of server and network systems. This involves specifying hardware, configuring operating systems (Linux, Windows, Unix), setting up network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and ensuring optimal performance and security of the underlying IT environment.
    • System Policy Design: You will contribute to system policy design, which includes defining operation policies for monitoring, job management, and daily operational tasks. This also covers maintenance work design, ensuring the long-term stability and efficiency of client systems.
    • Operation and Monitoring: You will directly engage in the operation and monitoring work of client infrastructures. This involves daily checks, performance analysis, incident response, and proactive management to ensure high availability and reliability of IT services.
    • Database Design and Construction: You will have experience in designing and building databases such as Oracle, SQL, DB2, etc. This expertise is crucial for managing and optimizing data storage solutions that support client applications and systems.

Work Locations Across Japan:

The company has a broad national presence, allowing for potential work in numerous locations based on client projects and your preferences:

  • Branches (25 locations): Tokyo, Sapporo, Sendai, Tsukuba, Utsunomiya, Matsumoto, Takasaki, Omiya, Chiba, Tachikawa, Yokohama, Atsugi, Shizuoka, Hamamatsu, Toyoda, Kariya, Nagoya, Yokkaichi, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Kanazawa, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Kumamoto.

What You’ll Bring: Essential Qualifications for IT Engineering in Japan

To excel as an IT Engineer, you’ll need a combination of practical experience, language proficiency, and an understanding of core IT domains.

  • Current Residency in Japan: You must currently live in Japan. This is a mandatory requirement for applicants.
  • Japanese Language Proficiency (JLPT N3 Level): You must possess JLPT N3 level Japanese language proficiency (N2 is most welcome). This conversational level is essential for effective daily communication within teams and with clients in Japan.
  • Work Experience (1 year+): You must have at least 1 year of work experience in any field of IT (anywhere globally). This demonstrates a foundational understanding and practical application of IT principles.
  • Experience in Software Development/SIer (Highly Advantageous): Work experience in the network or server design, planning, operation, and maintenance system (6 months or above) is highly advantageous. This demonstrates practical experience in core infrastructure.
  • Experience in LAN and WAN Design/Configuration (Highly Advantageous): Experience in LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) design/configuration is highly advantageous, showing your ability to plan and implement network topologies.
  • Knowledge of Routers, Switches, and Firewalls (Highly Advantageous): Having knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls is highly advantageous, indicating familiarity with core network devices and security.
  • Ability to Design and Build OS and Middleware (Highly Advantageous): The ability to design and build OS and middleware such as AWS, Azure, Linux, Windows, Unix, etc., is highly advantageous, showcasing versatility in server environments.
  • Experience in Designing and Building Databases (Highly Advantageous): Experience in designing and building databases such as Oracle, SQL, DB2, etc., is highly advantageous, broadening your infrastructure capabilities.
  • Experience in Help Desk, Customer Support, etc. (Highly Advantageous): Experience in help desk, customer support, etc., is highly advantageous, highlighting customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree holder in the field of information and technology, or other related majors, is required. This academic foundation provides essential theoretical knowledge for IT and engineering.
  • Bilingual Proficiency (English & Japanese – if applicable): If you do not speak Japanese, proficiency in English is required for technical communication (日本語が話せない場合、英語が出来る方).

Employment Details: Your Compensation and Benefits in Japan

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

  • Salary: Depends on skill, ranging from 3 million to 12 million yen annually (equivalent to ¥250,000 – ¥800,000 per month). Detailed salary explanation will be provided during the interview.
