Our client, a leading player in the technology industry, is actively seeking an AI Data Engineer 3 to join their dynamic team. As an AI Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Devices Operations group, directly supporting the innovative Digital Transformation and Services (DTS) team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, ensuring successful alignment within the organization’s fast-paced and forward-thinking environment.


Location & Compensation:

  • Location: Redmond, WA (This is a Remote role.)
  • Pay Range: $56.21 – $60 per hour

What’s the Job?

As an AI Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of building and scaling data platforms that power AI initiatives and digital transformation. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Data Platform Scaling Initiatives: Driving critical initiatives aimed at helping our robust data platform scale effectively to meet evolving business priorities and significant technology advancements.
  • Scalable Data Model & Pipeline Construction: Designing and building highly scalable data models and resilient data pipelines. This involves expertly extracting, loading, and transforming data from diverse sources, while ensuring secure data storage with a strong focus on data quality and strict compliance, primarily within the Azure cloud environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating closely and effectively with data scientists, data analysts, and other key stakeholders across the organization to deeply understand complex data requirements and deliver innovative, effective, and tailored data solutions.
  • CI/CD Implementation & Management: Implementing and meticulously managing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipelines specifically for data engineering projects, leveraging tools like Azure DevOps to automate deployment and integration.
  • Data Governance & Compliance Foresight: Anticipating future data governance needs and proactively designing data modeling and handling procedures. This ensures unwavering compliance with all applicable laws, internal policies, and industry regulations related to data privacy and security.
  • Performance Optimization: Identifying and resolving data pipeline bottlenecks to optimize performance and efficiency.

What’s Needed?

We’re looking for a skilled AI Data Engineer with a strong foundation in data engineering and cloud technologies:

  • Data Engineering Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or a similar relevant role.
  • Programming Proficiency: Proven proficiency in various programming languages, specifically Python, Scala, or Java, for developing data solutions.
  • SQL & Database Expertise: Strong experience with SQL and various database technologies (e.g., relational, NoSQL).
  • Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with modern big data technologies and frameworks, such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
