eStreetSecurity is currently seeking skilled Network Engineers to support a highly classified program located in Aurora, CO. This position requires candidates to hold an an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph.
About the Role:
As part of the Network Engineering team, you will be instrumental in operating large-scale networks with a focus on reliability and efficiency. This role offers a direct opportunity to impact the design and enhancement of network features, ensuring systems run smoothly and securely within a classified environment.
Your responsibilities will encompass supporting cloud infrastructure deployments, configuration management, incident triage and resolution, comprehensive monitoring, and automating manual tasks using code for data center networking components. You’ll contribute significantly to maintaining 24×7 availability of internal and cloud-hosted services, while ensuring customer traffic is handled both efficiently and securely.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining safe and effective network operations by consistently monitoring performance, coordinating planned maintenance activities, making necessary adjustments to hardware components, and swiftly resolving any network connectivity issues that arise.
Modern networks present a continuous stream of challenges that demand innovative thinking and adaptability to evolving technologies. Proficiency with service provider network protocols and practical experience operating production-scale networks with thousands of nodes are essential. Furthermore, experience with one or more scripting languages or IT orchestration tools is a critical requirement.
This position involves close collaboration with Product Management and Engineering Teams to align customer requirements with optimal network solutions and product features.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in the networking industry within Top Secret and classified environments.
- Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with network design, installation, and maintenance specifically for service providers or large enterprise networks.
- Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- A strong understanding of network theory, technologies, and the operation of key routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS).
- Familiarity with various networking equipment and data center infrastructure.
- Ability to thrive and work effectively in a network operations center (NOC) environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the life-cycle of classified networks, from initial inception and design, through qualification and validation, to deployment, operation, and ongoing optimization.
- Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms such as automation, and continually evolve systems by advocating for changes that boost reliability and velocity.
- Collaborate with other team members and groups to thoroughly analyze requirements or potential problems and subsequently develop effective solutions and policy recommendations.
- Partner with internal application teams to design network infrastructure that meets both operational and stringent security requirements.
- Lead the development of production network infrastructure through the creation of published engineering design documents and specifications, which include detailed requirement analysis, engineering design, and robust solution development.
