Our global banking client is actively seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior AI/ML Engineer to join their dynamic Engineering department. In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting various complex and high-impact initiatives. Location & Compensation:

• Location: Charlotte, NC (This is a hybrid role, balancing onsite presence with remote flexibility.)
• Pay Range: Competitive

What’s the Job?

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the design, optimization, and deployment of advanced AI/ML models within a demanding banking environment. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Complex Initiative Consultation: Providing expert consultation on complex initiatives with broad organizational impact, including large-scale planning for Software Engineering projects that leverage AI/ML.
• In-Depth Challenge Analysis: Reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation and innovative solutions.
• Policy & Compliance Adherence: Contributing significantly to the resolution of situations that demand a solid understanding of functional requirements, organizational policies, and stringent compliance mandates within the financial sector.
• Strategic Client Collaboration: Collaborating strategically and consulting effectively with client personnel to ensure the successful achievement of project deliverables, translating technical solutions into business value.
• AI Model Optimization & Deployment: Optimizing and deploying sophisticated AI models, particularly for large-scale deep learning applications, leveraging high-performance GPU clusters.

What’s Needed?

We’re looking for a highly proficient and experienced AI/ML Engineer with:

• Software Engineering Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of robust Software Engineering experience, or an equivalent demonstrated through significant work, consulting, specialized training, or advanced education.
• API & Cloud-Native Development: Proven experience with API development, designing cloud-native architectures, and working with modern Generative AI frameworks like LLaMA and Mistral.
• Technical Stack Proficiency: Hands-on proficiency with a modern technical stack including FastAPI, Unicorn, Swagger, Python, Apache Spark (PySpark), Kubernetes, and Django.
• GPU & Cloud AI Infrastructure: Direct experience in configuring and managing NVIDIA GPU environments, as well as working with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) for TPUs and GPU instances.
• Distributed ML Knowledge: Solid knowledge of multi-GPU training techniques and experience with distributed computing frameworks such as TensorFlow Distributed and PyTorch Distributed.
